This year for Christmas my family traveled to Cleveland, Ohio to spend the holiday with my mom’s family. It’s a rare year that a large group is able to make it in for the holiday (mom is 1 of 9) so it was definitely a special occasion year. I had so much fun hanging out with all my cousins and meeting the newest member of our family! Here are some of the pictures from Christmas Eve.

That’s right, I got to spend my Sunday playing in a professional photo studio with models dressed up for a wedding! I learned a lot and can’t wait to go back for my next class in studio lighting. Here are some of my favorites from the day. (Side note: these two are actually engaged in real life!)
I really love his shoes, they definitely brought some attitude to the outfit.
The bride had some great tattoos
These last two are my favorites from the day
That’s right, this post is all about gratuitous photos of my sister (ok, Gus made the cut too). We decided to play with my new camera on high ISO when I was home for Thanksgiving. This is what happened. Enjoy!
This is Gus, the lab/terrier (read: most adorable terror on four paws). He decided he wanted in on the action.
The last two are my favorites…
As promised, here are the rest of the pictures from my trip south of the border. I’ve been back for a week and they still make me smile.
These next two make me start singing, “I’ve got my toes in the water…” by the Zac Brown Band
Self pic – (black and white to hide my pink color which has faded into a very nice tan)
Such cool lighting…I’m in love
How would you like your Margarita? Blue please…
Fresh guacamole? Put it in your mouth!
Yes, that is my fajita cooked with a little dash of tequila.
And finally, my absolute favorite from the trip…
Last week I finally took my first “adult” vacation. By that I mean I went on a vacay with a good friend instead of siblings or parents.
Amy and I spent our days sunning ourselves, swimming and getting massages. Our nights were spent watching sunsets and having some of the most delicious food on the planet.
Below is part 1 of the photos. Another round to come later this week. Enjoy!

My lovely travel companion
Delicious bruschetta and some of the best tiramisu i have ever tasted all wrapped up with a gorgeous sunset bow.
I’m working and packing furiously for my much needed vacation in Mexico next week but I wanted to share some new photos from my trip to MSU a few weeks ago. It had been 3 years almost to the day since I had set foot on the banks of the Red Cedar river and I have now promised to not make that mistake again. I’ll be back soon my beloved school but until then I’ll have these great photos to tide me over!
One thing I don’t like about the city is the lack of trees and amazing fall colors. I definitely don’t miss the raking though…
The beautiful Beaumont Tower in the middle of campus
Spartan sibling photo with Sparty!
I did some serious damage at the book store. I now have enough MSU gear to last another 3 years.
Tailgate! (Taken by Roomie)
And here she is, my beautiful roomie. Love. This. Girl. (We lived across the hall as freshmen and together for the next three years.)
So glad I got a chance to see my big! (It’s a sorority thing)
My fabulous tailgate friends.
The absolutely AMAZING MSU Marching Band. They always put on a great show.
The girls at the game
This past weekend I finally went to my old stomping grounds, Michigan State. It was such a great weekend full of old friends and Big Ten sports I can’t believe I waited three years to do it. Rest assured I won’t make that mistake again. Here are some of my iPhone photos. I will be posting the others soon.
